So its festival time here in good ol Ireland so I'm up to my eyes in muck as I provide facilities in order to bring the wonderful world of Rock n Roll to the land of radio!
Other than that, I've been working with the Irish National broadcaster RTE, setting up a new DAB network amongst other things.
This has meant that studio plans have been somewhat on hold, but now its time to get things moving.
My console is done and VK are eager to ship from LA to me here in Dublin. I must admit, I'd rather I had a few more months to get things in order but such is life. I'll up the post rate once I start working on the new rooms so check back regular.
For the sake of it, let me tell about a little project I undertook today.
It involved my Juno-106 which just like the vast majority of Junos, was suffering from hanging voice syndrome.
I managed to find this guy http://www.analoguerenaissance.com/D80017/3 who hooked me up with a complete set of replacement VCAs. I figured that they are all going to fail at some stage or another so might as well change em all !!

I installed all six, re-calibrated the VCAs and hey presto, my little ol Juno is better than ever before. I gotta admit, this synth was a dream to work on. A thing or two could be learnt from it in terms of synths and serviceability !

Alongside that, I totally restored the dirty faders, keys, switches and just for the sake of it, changed all the LEDS to super bright blue, white and green.

I know its not the best synth in the world, but hey, it has a certain charm.
Jereon also has this for sale over at his site >>

So go pay him a visit :D
