Tis the season........

So, picture above is two 1272s I racked and re-capped recently. I also added two of Joe Malones 1272-1073 mod kits which are ACE (www.jlmaudio.com) and I used one of his 3 rail power supplies to add +48v Phantom.

His kits are really easy to assemble and fit, and step by step instructions make this mod even easier.

These pres now sound awesome. I still prefer the 3415 I have, but they are certainly gaining more respect, the more I use them.

My final project (For this year !!) is to mod rack four 1276 modules that I have converted to 1272s. I will be using Joe's kit on these also, so they will end up as 1073s.

Last week, I bought a Telefunken V72 so this week, I'm gonna power it up and make sure it was sold as described !! Then, it'll be another rack attack !!
